CLASS also serves as an outreach for the Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation.  The Pennsylvania Assistive Technology Foundation or PATF is a low interest loan program that is available through the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.  These loans can be used to purchase Assistive Technology or other service that promote independence.

Examples of what these loans can be used for are:

  • Wheelchair Accessible Vans or Ramps
  • Home Modifications
  • Stair Glides
  • Computers with Specialized Hardware or Software
  • Hearing Aids

Also part of the PATF is the Mini Loan Grant program.  Those who are eligible individuals can receive a partial grant for a loan between $100 and $1000 with an interest rate of zero percent.  This program helps to make assistive technologies more affordable for individuals or their families allowing for their increased ability to live and work in the community.
