Joyce has worked at CLASS since 1994 when she was hired as Controller. She was promoted in 1997 to Chief Financial Officer, and In January, 2013, she assumed operational responsibility - providing administrative support for Facilities, Technology, Development and Human Resources.
During her tenure at CLASS, Joyce has supported the board of directors through corporate restructuring, merging with MSSS (Multiple Sclerosis Service Society) and ACRC (Alliance for Community Respite Care), and the transition of services to the Swissvale facility in 2014. Joyce works closely with program staff on the development of new initiatives, including the Attendant Care Program in 1998, and implementation of the Financial Management Services program.
Along with the Management Team, she is responsible for strategic direction and promoting the corporate mission and philosophy. She serves as staff support on all operational board committees, coordination of the annual audit, contract negotiation for employee benefits, and is the primary banking liaison.
Joyce earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from University of Charleston and her Masters’ of Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership and Organizational Transformation from Chatham University. Joyce has spent her entire career in not-profit management with positions held in the healthcare insurance industry and in human services. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with friends.
