Gary Decker - Advocacy and Awareness Award

Gary Decker was presented the Advocacy and Awareness Award from CLASS during our 18th Annual Community Heroes Awards Dinner. Gary teaches special education and social studies in the Conneaut School District in Erie. He became involved with National Youth Service Day in 2006, assisting students with services learning activities. The Annual Wheelchair Basketball Game that takes place during National Youth Service Day involves students in planning and organizing the fundraising event, and especially demonstrating that they value a community where everyone belongs.
