FireFly Summer Camps
FireFly Summer Camps provide a traditional camp experience for individuals with spina bifida and related disabilities. The program combines traditional camp fun in a barrier-free atmosphere, regardless of disability. For many, it is an opportunity to be with friends and experience activities never thought possible.
Our program prioritizes the development of essential life skills—including healthcare management, pre-vocational training, and interpersonal communication—all within a high-energy, engaging environment. Camps are all about building confidence and independence while having a blast! By participating in everything from swimming and art to cooking and nature walks, participants pick up vital life and social skills without it ever feeling like 'work.' Every activity is designed to help participants grow, connect, and succeed.
Each summer program has a specific theme with targeted goals and objectives. The individual does not need to be independent in self-care routines to participate. Groups are determined based on age and interests.
