As we prepare for the holiday season, Community Living And Support Services (CLASS) has been reflecting on what we are truly thankful for this year. CLASS is extremely thankful to our supporters, like you, who are champions of our mission. As a friend, sponsor, employee, or person we support, your partnership is key to our continued success.

With each passing day, we are reminded of the importance of strengthening our communities by including all people. Our similarities are, in fact, greater than our differences and everyone has a role to play in their communities. A gift this season makes stories like Michael’s a reality for others in our community.

Michael met CLASS when he was still in high school and his mother was exploring possibilities for him after graduation. As part of the extended school year, Michael attended CLASS during the summer accompanied by his aide from high school, making the transition more successful for Michael. Michael flourishes in classes that help him excel in the community. He learns how to make meals during meal preparation classes and displays the art he creates at the annual art show. Michael also explores different aspects of the community each week through his Community Options classes.

Our one wish is that you please consider giving the gift of community to CLASS this holiday season. Your gift of:

  • $25 can provide one hour of support to an adult or senior served through In-Home Services, including a home-cooked meal, housekeeping, or daily care
  • $50 could give individuals one hour of vocational support at one of nine different community sites through the Community Skill Building Program
  • $75 can provide an individual with MS one hour of assisted exercises and stretches through the MSES Program
  • $100 can deliver two hours of one-on-one household and budget management support through the Community Partners Program

To make your donation today, visit www.classcommunity.org/donate.  Your commitment helps CLASS continue striving to meet its mission of Working Toward A Community Where Each Belongs. We wish you and yours the most blessed holiday season and look forward to a 2019 filled with passion and commitment to serving others.
